Whether you’re a blog-hound, casual browser or fledgling musician, you’ll be more than familiar with Soundcloud’s white-on-orange charms.

TechCrunch report that the streaming site has now launched a new interface, and there are tweaks galore. Although the changes are currently only visible to private Beta users, the tech blog offers some insight into what users can expect in the (presumably near) future.

Those trademark waveform players are smaller, neater and glossier. The players have also been tricked out with a repost button, and there’s a greater emphasis on liking or commenting on tracks. New repost alerts have also been added: users will be contacted in real time as and when their content is reposted or liked. Keyboard shortcuts and a slicker search mechanism round out the newly augmented Soundcloud. A feature to filter out the oodles of badly made ‘future garage’ floating around out there would also have been nice, but hopefully they’re saving that for the 2013 revamp.
