RBMA 2012 – taking place in New York this year – has officially whirred into gear with news of which UK applicants have made the cut.

The annual summit has become one of the most important milestones in the electronic music calendar. Not only do all sorts of burgeoning talents get to meet and compare notes, but a host of big-league contributors are invariably invited along to give speeches and host seminars; last year’s keynote speakers included DOOM, Clams Casino, Oneohtrix Point Never and Erykah Badu.

Interestingly, just about every UK face will already be very familiar to FACT readers. Fast-rising producer Evian Christ will be on board, as will Glasgow’s swoonsome Koreless and the wonderful Throwing Snow. Warped synth-popper Rudi Zygadlo, beatsmith T. Williams, Benjamin Damage and Alitrec will also be participating in the series. They’ll join a raft of participants from 29 different countries.

If you want to see an example of what the RBMA can do for people, the Academy have released a short promo video about London producer, Michachu And The Shapes member and 2011 participant Raisa K – peer below to enjoy.
