Gucci Mane fined $60,000 for pushing woman out of moving car

Gucci Mane – the man who, for better of worse, helped give the world “trap” – continues to stake his claim as one of hip-hop’s most unsavoury characters.

Gucci Mane’s rap sheet isn’t quite as long as his mammoth discography, but it still makes for grisly reading: drug charges, aggravated assault, probation violation, serious traffic misdemeanours and battery all feature, as do some rather hazy murder allegations.

In 2011, the rapper was sentenced to six months behind bars for pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle after she refused his sexual advances. Having refused to go to a hotel room with Mane, Diana Graham was apparently shoved out of a moving Hummer. Graham has now successfully secured $58,161.24 in a civil suit against the rapper.

Mane neglected to turn up to the court hearing and gave false testimony, meaning that Graham was awarded the damages by default. Graham claimed medical expenses, suffering and lost wages as reasons for her suit.

We’d like to think this is the last unpleasant Mane story we have to cover, but, unfortunately, we suspect we’d be hoping against hope. Mane’s Tetris-cribbing ‘Get It Back’, taken from this year’s Trap Back tape, is below.
