With its pearl anniversary on the horizon, Manchester club institution The Haçienda is to head to London for its first show in the city in two decades.

On December 15, KOKO will play host to to a classic line-up of house music heroes. Todd Terry tops the bill. The man behind early period classics like ‘A Day In The Life’ and ‘Can You Party’ has been around almost as long as The Haçienda, and his set will likely have a classic bend: expect a resolutely old school sonic palette and touches of disco from a major force in the genre.

Marshall Jefferson, regularly cited as the father of house music, will also be appearing. Jefferson’s had a major hand in the development of acid house and deep house alike (see the all-conquering 1986 jam ‘Move Your Body’), and he’s always a diverting presence behind the decks. Former Haçienda booker Mike Pickering is another fascinating addition: he’ll be presenting a super-rare set focusing on the club’s last three decades. Fellow Haçienda head Bobby Langley has also been recruited for the evening, and can also be expected to keep things on a house tip.

The event will coincide with the release of the bumper Hacienda 30 boxset, featuring mixes from Pickering, Graeme Park and New Order’s Peter Hook. The night runs from 9.00pm until 3.00am. Tickets and further information are available here.
