Alis, the artist formerly known as Subeena, will release her debut album Hybrids in the Attic on December 12.

In truth, it’s not Subeena’s first LP: in 2011 she released 23, a retrospective collection of her material for Planet Mu and other labels, but it is her first album under the new, more song-based guise of Alis. Since retiring the Subeena name, Alis has released a steady succession of videos, including a cover of Bjork’s ‘I Miss You’, and the album promises “a body of work that is at once raw, deep and instinctive”.
