The near-unclassifiable Essex outfit have an autumn tour up their sleeves.

These New Puritans have announced six dates in October in support of their mighty impressive new record, Field Of Reeds, a strange meditation on the wilds of eastern England which elbowed its way into our Second Quarter Report on the best albums from the past three months.

Frontman Jack Barnett introduced the album to FACT last month, talking magnetic pianos, obsessive temperaments and how not to record a hawk. The band also debuted a brand new, as-yet-unfinished song on BBC Radio 1 last week.

Tour dates:

11/10 – Manchester, Gorilla
12/10 – Bristol, Simple Things Festival
15/10 – London, Electric Brixton
16/10 – Leeds, Vox
17/10 – Glasgow, Oran Mor
18/10 – Gateshead, Sage
