Californian rapper to open for British duo in unlikely tour team up.

In a creative twist Mount Kimbie will be touring North America this fall with rapper Jonwayne in tow. On paper the two artists are pretty far removed: Mount Kimbie are a British electronic duo releasing on Warp, Jonwayne is a rapper and beatmaker dude releasing on Stones Throw. How it will unfold in reality is yet to be seen but we reckon it could lead to some memorable moments.

The tour kicks off next week and runs until the end of October. The tour is in support of Mount Kimbie’s latest album, Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, which we reviewed earlier this summer. As for Jonwayne he’ll be giving audiences a taste of his forthcoming Rap Album One release, his long-awaited official rap debut due on Stones Throw in late October.
