It’s The Murkle Man.

One of grime’s most entertaining and most bizarre figures, Jammer has been a crucial part of the scene’s architecture for many years now, even though he hasn’t manage to bust through the cracks into the wider mainstream in the same way as, say, Wiley or Dizzee Rascal.

Over on his high value Twitter feed, Jammer announced today that, despite knowing it was probably not the best thing to do, he is going to drop his “classic first album” at 6pm GMT this evening. Recorded between 2004-2006, the album supposedly includes spots from most of grime’s top tier spitters – Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Skepta, JME and D Double E just for starters.

Jammer said the reason for the unexpected drop is that the record had been “just sitting here for 7 years catching dust it’s time you hear it,” and we’re certainly not complaining.

Update: the album – entitled Top Producer – is now online, and you can grab it here. Peep the artwork below.
