Eight studio albums deep into their career, the German three-piece are pretty much the dons of brittle, digitally-enhanced post-rock. On their very best records (see 1999’s delicate The Amateur View), they strike a balance between Oval’s forensic electronics, and the widescreen vistas of older German forbears (Ashra Tempel, Cluster, et al).
We’re pleased to say we now have a stream of the band’s first new track in half a decade, ‘Pro Model’. True to form, it’s a gently groovy piece of electronica, setting stannic synth tones over a chugging motorik beat. Click below to listen.
