Josh Homme to play acoustic solo show at James Lavelle's Meltdown

Modern axe god joins Jeff Mills, ESG, Goldie and more at the London festival.

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme will play a rare solo acoustic gig as part of Mo’ Wax boss James Lavelle’s Meltdown next month.

Tickets for the gig on June 13 go on sale tomorrow (May 15) at 10am for Southbank Centre members, and on general sale at 10am on May 16.

The 10-day festival will also feature Homme’s gravel-voiced QOTSA affiliate Mark Lanegan, plus performances from the likes of ESG, Jeff MillsEdwyn Collins and Neneh CherryGoldie will play 1994′sTimeless with the Heritage Orchestra, while Mica Levi will soundtrack Jonathan Glazer’s recent film Under The Skin.

QOTSA are currently midway through a world tour in support of last year’s …Like Clockwork.
