Music software developers Camel Audio have revealed that they’ll be shutting up shop this year.

The company, widely known for the award-winning Alchemy softsynth and their suite of plug-in effects, posted today on their site that they wanted to thank fans for their support, but that their selection of products would no longer be for sale.

Customers who have already bought products will still be able to download and receive email support until July 7, 2015, but new customers won’t be able to purchase the plug-ins.

This is the message that greeted members who logged into the Camel Audio site this morning:

“We would like to thank you for the support we’ve received over the years in our efforts to create instruments and effects plug-ins and sound libraries.

Camel Audio’s plug-ins, Alchemy Mobile IAPs and sound libraries are no longer available for purchase. We will continue to provide downloads of your previous purchases and email support until July 7, 2015. We recommend you download all of your purchases and back them up so that you can continue to use them (Instructions: How to Download and Backup Your Products)”

There are currently threads discussing the closure over at Reddit and tech forum KVR.
