London producer Flako will celebrate the release his debut album with an April Fool’s party at east London’s Birthdays.

Natureboy sees Dario Rojo Guerra depart from his roots in MPC-toting instrumental hip-hop to experiment with the South American soul, folk and cumbia he absorbed as a child, as well as taking on influences from jazz, Vangelis-inspired synth compositions and even the ritual songs of the Peruvian Shipibo people.

The album drops on March 23 via Five Easy Pieces, and to mark its release he’s lined up a live show at Birthdays on April 1 to show off his new material through the basement club’s meaty sound system. Grab tickets from February 11 at 10am from Soundcrash.
