After playing an integral part in The Redeemer, Stone Island, and Black Metal, Joanne Robertson invites Blunt to play on her new album Black Moon Days.
English folk musician, Joanne Robertson, was an essential part of Dean Blunt’s work since her heart stopping performance on The Redeemer’s ‘Imperial Gold’. This week Robertson released her own album Black Moon Days, and on the track ‘Hi Watt’ she invited Blunt to provide the sort of murky, hazy beats that have defined much of his work. Mixed with Robertson’s yearning vocals and stripped, electric guitar it brings to mind Isn’t Anything-era My Bloody Valentine. Listen to it below and get Black Moon Days now via Feeding Tube Records.
