Rødhåd, Alex.Do and Vril will be hitting The Steelyard in May.

Since it launched with its first event in 2009, the techno reputation of Berlin’s Dystopian party and label has become second only to that of Ostgut Ton. Helmed by Rødhåd, whose meteoric rise has propelled him to ninth place in RA’s Top DJs of 2014, the party prides itself on illuminating the “rough, melancholic, dark side of electronic dance music.”

UK techno fans would previously have had to travel to Berlin to get the Dystopian experience, but the party will soon be holding its first London event with the help of promoters Closer and London Warehouse Events.

As well as Rødhåd, core Dystopian member Alex.Do will be making an appearance, weaving techno, house and dub in one of his marathon DJ sets. Delsin and Giegling producer Vril will also be on hand to perform one of his much talked-about live sets, supporting his recently-released Portal album.

The party takes place at The Steelyard in east London on Sunday May 3, with the venue presented “undressed” in true Dystopian style. Full details can be found at the LWE website.
