‘Money Over Love’ gets its first radio spin.

In the latest instalment of his weekly BBC Radio 6 show, Gilles Peterson paid tribute to late jazz great Ornette Coleman. Following the solemn dedication, Peterson moved into a special “Bilal segment” of his broadcast. He took the opportunity to play several Bilal cuts, including a new track from the neo-soul singer and Kendrick Lamar.

New cut ‘Money Over Love’ was first premiered live by the pair in Los Angeles last month. Peterson’s most recent show marks the first time that the studio version of the track has been played in public. ‘Money Over Love’ is taken from Bilal’s upcoming In Another Life album, which is produced entirely by Adrian Younge.

Check it below or listen back to the show via the BBC. ‘Money Over Love’ can be heard at around 2:15:30.
