Nipsey Hussle was arrested in Burbank, California last night after police found a bottle of codeine in his vehicle.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Hussle was stopped on suspicion of traffic violations. Police discovered he had an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license.

After consenting to a search of his vehicle, officers found a bottle of codeine without a prescription label as well as soft drink and a cup of ice.

“People who abuse codeine to get high commonly acquire it either from friends/associates or through fraudulent prescriptions, and remove the prescription label to mask where it came from and who it was prescribed to,” Burbank police Lt. Adam Cornils said.

After Hussle was unable to produce a prescription he was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, as well as for the outstanding warrant. He was later released after posting $1,000 bail. [via Los Angeles Times]
