Emily Blunt stars in the new movie from the Prisoners director.

After picking up a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination for The Theory of Everything, Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has been tapped to score the latest feature from Quebecois filmmaker Denis Villeneuve (who’s also helming the Blade Runner sequel).

Sicario stars Emily Blunt as an idealistic FBI agent who joins an elite government task force official (Josh Brolin) and an enigmatic consultant (Benicio Del Toro) to track down the boss of a Mexican drug cartel.

The film had its premiere in Cannes this spring and is set to arrive in cinemas on September 18, with Jóhannsson’s soundtrack set to be released the same day via Varèse Sarabande.
