Director Paul Thomas Anderson has filmed a documentary about Jonny Greenwood.
Earlier this year the Radiohead guitarist travelled to a 15th century fort in India to work on an album with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur, and their collaboration is the subject of the film, titled Junun.
Junun will debut at the New York Film Festival, which takes place September 25 to October 11. The festival describes the film as “a lovely impressionistic mosaic and a one-of-a-kind sonic experience: the music will blow your mind.”
Anderson has worked with Greenwood on several film scores, starting with the acclaimed music for There Will Be Blood (which was disqualified from its deserved Oscar nomination) and more recently The Master and Inherent Vice. [via Pitchfork]
