The first record is out later this month.
The Dewaele brothers – better known as the men behind 2ManyDJs and Soulwax – are launching their own label, Deewee, with the first 12″ set to arrive on September 19.
As RA reports, the label’s first release comes from an unknown artist called Klanken, though sales notes that reveal the two-track 12″ was recorded in their hometown of Ghent suggest it could be an alias for the brothers.
The duo have been consistently in demand thanks to their raucous DJ sets and remixes over the past 10 years, though they haven’t released any original productions since 2005’s Nite Versions.
More recently, the duo have been touring their high-end Despacio soundsystem together with James Murphy – they’re playing at London’s Roundhouse on September 10-12.
