Independent engineer Skot Wiedmann has offered the first taste of HYVE, a 60-note polyphonic touch synthesizer.

HYVE’s touchplate keyboard looks a lot like the kind you’d find on a classic Buchla Music Easel, but replaces the knobs and sliders with a honeycomb-inspired pitch array. There’s no information on a release date, but you can sign up for email updates here.
