A new record shop has opened in Kreuzberg.

Sound Metaphors opened for business on Monday (November 30), offering new and used house, techno, reggae and jazz from its location on Reichenberger Str.

The shop’s Facebook notes that Hard Wax co-founder Mark Ernestus helped set up the shop’s sound system, which seems promising, while Hard Wax alumnus DJ Pete and Jason Spinks of London’s Kristina Records have also had a hand in the set-up, as RA reports. They’ve picked a few records off the shelves to give an idea of their taste, including Kangding Ray, Kamasi Washington, Volcov and Ge-ology.
