“No one should have to feel afraid for speaking out when wronged in any manner or feel like no cares about them”, writes the rapper.

In the wake of the many accusations of sexual misconduct toward Life Or Death PR founder Heathcliff Berru, many of the artists repped by the company have severed ties. One of their most beloved clients, Killer Mike, has now released a statement on Facebook weighing in on the issue.

“Yesterday a.m. I read the story about Heathcliff. I called him immediately and ended our biz relationship. I also told him how wrong he was and how disappointed and ashamed I am of his actions and that he’s gotta take whatever’s coming,” the rapper wrote, adding that he stands in solidarity with the women who have spoken out.

Though he has left the PR firm, Mike explains that he will continue to work with the same (now former) Life or Death publicist, Duncan Will, independently. Run The Jewels, meanwhile, already works with Biz3, an entirely different firm. He ends the post asking men to learn to tell their peers and friends when they’re wrong.

“We cannot just say, it’s not my problem. We can’t expect ppl to improve if we’re not willing to hold them accountable and push them to be better,” he writes. Read the full post here.
