The rapper returns with his first album in four years.

Aesop Rock will release his new album, The Impossible Kid, this spring. It follows 2012’s Skeleton, but takes a very different inspiration. The record was self-produced and recorded in the way of a friend’s death that found the rapper leaving San Francisco to work in seclusion in the woods.

Those themes of death appear in the music video for the new single ‘Rings’ which finds the Aesop Rock being cut open on an autopsy table to reveal strange stop motion creations inside. Watch it below and look for The Impossible Kid April 29 via Rhymesayers Entertainment.
