As well as other information about the streaming platform’s first year.
On the eve of its one-year anniversary, TIDAL has released a bunch of stats about its subscriber base and exclusive streams, including figures on The Life of Pablo, which Kanye West had initially asked to be kept confidential after the album’s February release.
According to Tidal, Pablo surpassed 250 million streams in its first 10 days of release. Given that Tidal has just topped three million users, that massive number appears to be the total number of streams of individual songs on the 19-track album, rather than full-album streams.
Of those 3 million subscribers globally, 45 per cent, or 1.35 million, pay for the the lossless audio/video tier. So far it looks like T.L.O.P. has been a boon for the struggling service.
