JME’s dream has come true.

Maybe it’s just the next generation growing up, but Dragonball Z and Pokémon have never been more popular in hip-hop than right now. Sicko Mobb have spent every mixtape reimagining themselves as DBZ’s Super Saiyans and JME flipped his love of the all things Pokémon into a grime anthem that samples the theme song.

Cartoonist Ben Gore has taken it a step further, reimagining grime MCs as Pokémon cards. The cards are peppered with clever references, showing Gore’s encyclopedic knowledge of both subjects. The released previews are only a small part of the full set of 20 due later this year.
