Though Aphex Twin has been more than generous with giving away music on Soundcoud, new posters appearing in record stores hint that his next official release is imminent.

Posters advertising the Cheetah EP have appeared bearing logos from both Aphex Twin and his longtime label Warp. The text and artwork mimic a vintage magazine ad spread.

“The Apex [sic] Twin Cheetah EP uses digital sound generation techniques combined with wave sequencing technology to bring you sounds with movement and depth rarely found on records today,” it reads while warning users to read the instructional manual and to mail remixes to the Warp offices.

Curiously, Aphex Twin had multiple songs title ‘Cheetah Teac’ in the enormous Soundcloud dump. Considering that Cheetah is the name of a vintage analog synth manufacturer and Teac was a manufacturer of tape recorders, the title could give a hint to its creation.
