The NES Classic Edition is getting a companion in November.
Nintendo’s recently announced NES Classic Edition console will have a companion book to go with it thanks to strategy guide publisher Prima Games, which will publish Playing With Power: Nintendo NES Classics in November.
The 320-page book covers 17 games from the NES era, including Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus and Metroid. As well as strategy guides for each of the games, the book will include interviews and content from old issues of Nintendo Power magazine.
It also includes hand-drawn maps, character and game environment art and vintage advertisements. The book even comes in an embossed slipcase that looks like an old NES Game Pak.
Playing With Power is available to pre-order from Amazon for $26.99. It’s released on November 18, one week after the miniature NES Classic Edition console, which comes with 30 games built-in.
