The Warp producer clears matters up after Blake denied his claims to have worked together.
Hudson Mohawke has clarified comments made last week about having made beats for James Blake, which Blake soon denied and described as having left him “respectfully baffled.”
“We demo’d a few as well as Frank O n myself but I can’t get into anymore trouble for leaks,” the Lantern beat-maker told a fan on Twitter last week. “None of this music is confirmed as ever seeing the light of day n im not gona leak anything.”
“As talented as I think he is, I’ve never worked with Hudson Mohawke and don’t know what he’s talking about. I’m respectfully baffled,” Blake responded. Now, Hud Mo has addressed the confusion.
“Maybe need to clarify few things here… James tried a few things with some insts of mine for my last record but didn’t come to anything,” he wrote today. “Frank and I worked together on some things but didn’t really come to anything either.” He added it would be “amazing” if the recordings were to ever see the light of day, though he doubts that will ever happen.
