Hear both soothingly beautiful tracks now.

As the days grow colder, Liz Harris’ Grouper project always seems to sound better. To mark the first day of winter, Harris has released a new 7″ single named Paradise Valley. It’s Grouper’s first release since Ruins, one of our favorite albums of 2014.

Unlike the stormy piano meditations of Ruins, the newly released ‘Headache’ and ‘I’m Clean Now’ reach back some of the guitar-oriented atmospheres on Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill, but glow with an intimacy all their own.

Listen to ‘I’m Clean Now’ through Grouper’s new Bandcamp and watch a video (director by long-time collaborator Paul Clipson) below. [via Gorilla Vs Bear]
