It pays to be pals with Champagne Papi.

Drake’s co-sign has always been a boon for artists and has brought people like Makonnen and Migos out of the underground and onto the radio. It’s no different for his latest project More Life. The BBC reports that streaming in the US has gone up for UK artists like Giggs, Skepta and Jorja Smith following the Saturday evening release of the “playlist”.

Giggs, who features on tracks ‘No Long Talk’ and ‘KMT’, has had an increase in US streams on Spotify by 146%. While Drake’s admiration for grime and UK rap has been no secret, the pair’s connection is heightened even more by their mutual outsiders’ love of southern hip-hop.

The US has already gotten a heavy dose of Skepta – primarily via Drake’s influence – and, still, his US Spotify streams by almost a quarter, clocking in at 21%.

Newcomer Jorja Smith also got a little bit of boost, with her streams going up 12% in the US.

More Life was released this past Saturday. Check it out here.
