No, we are really not kidding.

FedEx has introduced a new feature that allows you to generate a soundtrack to your package’s shipping journey based on its tracking number.

If you don’t currently have a FedEx tracking number to use, it will let you create a song based on your own made up package parameters, too. No, this is not an April Fools’ Day joke they just forgot to take down.

You can start with the delivery type (express, standard), then you choose the size of the package, then its origin point and final destination. Each city has its own associated sound – New York’s is an ad exec’s idea of 1980s rap, while San Diego gets vaguely nü-metal-inspired tunes. Portland has jazz. It’s all very, very weird.

Check it out here.
