Former Be Your Own Pet vocalist Jemina Pearl will return in October with her first solo album, Break It Up.

Produced by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, The Hold Steady), it’ll be released on Ecstatic Peace, the label that first put out Be Your Own Pet’s material. That, we’d expected. And considering the two have collaborated before, Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore making an appearance is far from a surprise. But TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek and Iggy Pop making appearances did catch us off guard.
