There’s been talk of 5xLP release by synth-funk alley cat Dam-Funk for a while, but now the release info is here.

Titled Toeachizown, the set will be released on Stones Throw on October 27, and compiles five ‘distinct parts’: LAtrik, Fly, Life, Hood and Sky. It’s two and a half hours long in total, and there will be a CD release, as well as digital releases of the separate parts in the lead up to the album (the first of which, LAtrik, is already available).

According to Funk, who recently remixed Animal Collective’s ‘Summertime Clothes’ to great effect, "LAtrik is more of my ‘electric style’ (hence the title of this volume) which is influenced by, yet never bitin’, such great artist as Juan Atkins (Cybotron) & Prince to name just a few. It also highlights the more Modern sounds of L.A. based Funk right now with instrumentals like ‘Toeachizown’ & vocal tracks like ‘Mirrors’ which, I feel are distinctly my sound, humbly speaking. I hope U dig it, as this was made 4 U!"
