We’d pretty much given up hope of Wolfgang Voigt bringing his GAS live show to the British Isles. Leipzig, Montreal, Berlin and Barcelona have all been graced with the Kompakt co-founder’s presence. But what about us?

Well, we can tell you – with more than a trill of excitement – that Voigt will finally be coming to Blighty to a deliver a full audio-visual performance, at London’s Barbican on Friday 16 October. The show takes place in Cinema 1, and is quite simply unmissable. Here’s what the Barbican have to say about it:

"Wolfgang Voigt – one of the most influential figures in contemporaryelectronic music – brings a stunning audio-visual creation to theBarbican. The fourGas albums, originally released between 1996 and 2000, were reissued in2008 to enormous international acclaim, and they have been widelyrecognised as the most important ambient music creations of the 1990s."
