San Serac, probably best known for his 2006 single ‘The Tyrant’, will release a new EP on Morgan Geist’s Environ Records.

The self-styled "house singer" has an incredibly distinctive, lounge lizard-like croon; his next-level electro-pop collaboration with former Junior Boy Johnny Dark as Stereo Image resulted in one of 2008’s best albums, S/T, and his own solo debut Professional was released in 2007 to favourable notices. Now he joins the New York-based Environ stable, which over the years has provided a home for singular, disco-inspired artists like Metro Area (Geist and Darshan Jesrani), Kelley Polar and Daniel Wang.

The Music Never Ends EP will be released on November 10, 2009. The 12" vinyl features two new San Serac tracks, ‘Music Never Ends’ and ‘Night Work’, plus a Morgan Geist remix of ‘Music Never Ends’. The digital version includes all the tracks from the 12" together with another fresh San Serac piece, ‘Style’.

12" tracklisting:

1. The Music Never Ends

2. Night Work

3. Music Never Ends (M’s Music Mix by Morgan Geist)

Digital tracklisting:

1. The Music Never Ends

2. Night Work

3. Style

4. Music Never Ends (M’s Music Mix by Morgan Geist)

Meanwhile, visitors to the Environ homepage can currently download a free 40-minute mix by Geist, recorded for WMIG/The Fader. It’s a deeper, trippier outing than the brilliant Metro Area Fabric 43 mix from last year, and Geist says it was "inspired by the original Cosmic DJs (Baldelli) and innovative DJs of (or nearer to) my own generation, like DJ Harvey and Daniel Wang."
