On November 12, Sasu Ripatti will perform a live show under his Vladislav Delay guise at the Union Chapel in London.

Ripatti recently released an intoxicating new Vladislav Delay album for The Leaf Label, Tuumma, which found him enlisting guest muscians and building on the grainy dub-techno aesthetic of his maverick Chain Reaction and Mille Plateaux releases to fashion a sound even warmer, more musical. We can’t wait to hear it in rendered live – especially in the none more atmospheric environs of the Union Chapel. Ripatti will be joined by Lucio Capete (clarinet/saxophone), who featured on the album.

Also on the bill for what will doubtless be an enchanting evening of music, are a duo by the name of Food. Food unites the talents of English saxophonist Iain Ballamy and Norwegian percussion and electronics maestro Thomas Stronen. "Combining acoustic elements including bells, blocks,gongs and lyrical saxophone," explains a press release, "[Food’s] music is enhanced and tempered withlive sampling and drums creating moods which range from minimalist tovery turbulent." That’s us told. Food have played with the likes of Fennesz and Arver Henriksen and their most recent album is Molecular Gastronomy for Norway’s legendary Rune Grammofon label.
