Ann Arbor, Michigan-based record label Ghostly International – home to the likes of Matthew Dear and Dabrye – has made its first forays into visual art publishing.
Earlier this year, the Ghostly Store released a number of signed, limited edition prints by longtime collaborator Michael Cina, based around the cover art from recent Ghostly music releases including The Sight Below’s Glider, the Horizon Line / Ghostly By Night compilation, and Grand Valley State University New Music Ensemble’s recording of Terry Riley’s In C.
Ghostly International Editions are now to become a fixture of the store. Prints will be released in two formats: the PDL and the Art Print.
The open PDL (10″ x 10″ print + download) option will be offered for Ghostly music releases with cover art that lends itself to the print format. The standalone Art Print series will feature original artwork from collaborators including Michael Cina, Andy Gilmore and Will Calcutt.
Each of the PDL and Art Print editions will be printed using archival ink on photo rag paper, and will include an artist-signed certificate of authenticity.
