As previously reported, Hercules & Love Affair have been working on their new album with Patrick Pulsinger in Vienna, and it’s expected that the record will see release before the close of 2010.

The band is now based around the core duo of producer/writer Andrew Butler and vocalist Kim Ann Foxman, with new recruits in Berlin-based Aeirea Negrot and Chicago’s Sean Wright and Mark Pistel. The latter has previously worked with the likes of Grace Jones and Meat Beat Manifesto. This current live incarnation is more streamlined than the sprawling nine-strong troupe that Butler used to tour H&LA’s acclaimed debut LP.
