Zola Jesus‘s EP-cum-mini-album Stridulum will be reissued on August 23 in expanded form.

Stridulum 2 adds three previously unreleased tracks to the original version’s six, and will be available on 2xCD and LP, with new artwork. The bonus CD is exclusive to Rough Trade, and is a mix by Zola Jesus of music from the likes of Throbbing Gristle, Droids, Meredith Monk, Jackie Wilson and Delia Derbyshire. More info here.

Zola Jesus is the alter ego of American singer Nika Roza Danilova. Though a member of the band Former Ghosts, it’s as a solo artist that she’s really been garnering attention, thanks to a string of must-have EPs and LPs  – including last year’s The Spoils and an upcoming dubwise split with LA Vampires that will almost certainly count among the albums of the year.

The tail-end of the summer will see Zola Jesus play a number of live shows in the UK. The dates are as follows:
