August 30 sees the launch of MR. INTL, a new label founded by Hercules & Love Affair mainman Andrew Butler.

The label’s first release is ‘And I’m (So In Love With You)’, a collaboration between Butler and Jason Kendig, resident at San Francisco’s Honeysoundsystem parties. The release includes a remixes of the track by Deetron and KiNK, whose own piano-house banger ‘Existence’ is one of FACT’s favourite tracks of the year. ‘And I’m (So In Love With You)’ will only be available digitally via Beatport to begin with; a 12″ vinyl edition will follow soon after.

MR. INTL  will focus exclusively on music made in the spirit of first wave house and techno, favouring production with analogue equipment.

‘I want to evoke strictly that sound on this label,” says Butler, “So I’ve been pretty hard ass with people in terms of what the output is…I don’t want anything that sounds pre-’85 or post-’94.  It’s really about the golden days of house music and techno.”
