If history’s proved one thing, it’s that you can’t have names this similar and not collaborate at some point.

Hot Chip and Hot City have finally teamed up – with Bernard Sumner of Joy Division, New Order and Bad Lieutenant, no less – on a new track for Converse.

Titled ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’, the track marks the follow-up to ‘All Summer’, the Converse-organised collaboration between Vampire Weekend and Discovery’s Rostam Batmanglij, rap chancer Kid Cudi and Best Coast. Not all of Hot Chip are involved, it’s actually just Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor, but that’s good enough for us.

‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’ is streaming from the Converse site as we speak. Next up in the series is a collaboration between Blur’s Graham Coxon, ex-Coral man Bill Ryder and Paloma Faith; that one’s pencilled in for January.
