Well-hyped Los Angeles four-piece Warpaint will release new album The Fool, via Rough Trade on October 26.

Produced by Tom Biller (Liars, Karen O) and mixed down by Andrew Weatherall, it marks the group’s biggest record to date, and the follow up to their excellent Exquisite Corpse, released in December of last year on Manimal Vinyl.

Justin Broadrick returned to the fold this year when the former Napalm Death member and mastermind behind Godflesh and Jesu released some of his poppiest work to date under the name Pale Sketcher. Fans of Broadrick’s heavier side now have something to celebrate, as Hydra Head will be releasing a double-EP package that pairs a reissue of Jesu’s debut, Heart Ache, with a new EP titled Dethroned. That’s due on November 16.

FatCat modern classical gent and revered live performer Hauschka has a new album out later this month, titled Foreign Landscapes. In a similar fashion to his recent concerts, the record sees Hauschka use an “assortment of non-musical odds and ends”, including bottle tops, ping pong balls and gaffer tape, to manipulate the inside of his piano, and thus, the sounds it makes. That one’s out October 25, you can stream it on Soundcloud:
