The digital version of Richie Hawtin’s Arkives box-set, which compiles his work as Plastikman, will feature a contribution from the winner of a remix contest announced today by Minus.
Fans have the chance to download stems from ‘Ask Yourself’, from Plastikman’s 2003 album Closer, and send their own take on the track to Hawtin. All submissions will be individually reviewed, and the winner will not only have theirs released on the digital version of Arkives, but will also receive a 2,500 euro gift voucher from Avid, the company behind M-Audio and Pro Tools, plus a free SoundCloud pro account.
Five runners up will each receive M-Audio Torq MixLab, M-Audio’s Avid Recording Studio and a SoundCloud lite account. Submissions for the contest begin today and will be accepted through December 31st. You can grab the parts here.
