The EXIT festival in Serbia has become one of the world’s most notorious festivals – not least because of its unique and frankly mind-blowing Petrovardin fortress setting.

2011’s edition of the festival will take place on July 7-10, with tickets going on sale at midday GMT tomorrow, Wednesday 24 November. This year will also see EXIT events taking place either side of the main weekend in the cities of Novi Sad and Belgrade.

A very limited number of tickets will be available for £89+bf, with the price going up to £105 for the second release. 20,000 people are expected to descend upon the festival, with over 400 performances across 20 stages promised. Last year’s EXIT featured LCD Soundsystem, Missy Elliott, The Chemical Brothers, Ricardo Villalobos and Klaxons among others.
