‘Brukout’ is a new track by El-B, released as a free download to herald his set Reggae Roast’s New Years Eve party.

Entitled ‘Brukout’, it’s a (you guessed it) bruk stepper squarely aimed at the dancefloor, one that showcases its maker’s preternatural sense of swing. El-B, for those who don’t know, made his name as part of Groove Chronicles and with subsequent productions released through his own Ghost imprint he paved the way for dubstep. Not for nothing has Burial cited the man as a key influence.

El-B will play a 90-minute set at the Reggae NYE party, which takes place 9pm-5am at the Big Chill House in London; he’ll be joined by Channel One, Mikey Dread and Ras Kayleb. A limited number of early bird tickets are available here.
