Gerald Donald’s Dopplereffekt are preparing to give a unique audio-visual perfromance on September 30, one which gives full vent to the artist’s well-documented interest in astrophysics.

Donald, who these days prefers to be known as Heinrich Mueller, first rose to prominence as one half of Detroit electro/techno visionaries Drexciya. Over the years he’s been involved in numerous solo and collaborative projects, but his longest-running and best-known is Dopplereffekt.

The special event is called Neutrino, and the information available about it is deliberately scarce: “Continuing [Dopplereffekt’s] interest in the farther reaches of science, Neutrino is a new project, that will use astrophysics lectures as the basis for an involving audio-visual performance”.

It takes place at Scandinavian Seaman’s Church in Liverpool, L1 8HG, and is being produced in cooperation with AND festival and the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics.

Tickets are £10/£8 and available here.
