FACT swung into the Spanish capital for two days and nights at this year’s Red Bull Music Academy, attended suitably amusing and inspiring lecture sessions at Matadero Madrid with Oneohtrix Point Never and Pearson Sound, having partied to the latter (plus xxxy and Scuba) at a UK bass night only 24-hours earlier in the city’s Sirocco club. The highlight though, was the ‘Sound In Colour’ showcase for 15 academy attendees that took place this Monday at one of the Spanish capital’s grandest neo-classical buildings, Palacio di Cibeles, which provided an eye-dazzling platform for new talent from China, Peru, Mexico and our very own Manchester to showcase their wares in genuine style.
