The album will contain synth-pop versions of Dinosaur Jr. songs.

Built To Spill bassist Brett Nelson has reworked some of his favorite Dinosaur Jr. material as the Electronic Anthology Project of Dinosaur Jr. The nine songs by the influential alt-rock band chosen for the project have been reimagined in the style of synth-pop acts such as Talk Talk and Men Without Hats. Aiming for period authenticity, Nelson created the music for the LP using vintage ’80s synthesizers and drum machines.

A 500-copy limited edition on purple vinyl will be released for the April 21st Record Store Day, with standard versions following at a later point.

This is the second volume of Nelson’s Electronic Anthology Project, in which he previously rendered synthesized versions of songs from his own band Built To Spill’s catalog, with contributions from BTS vocalist Doug Martsch.
