Chicago producer takes vogue beats into darker territory.

‘Ha Rewerq’d’ isn’t your average vogue house track, but Starfoxxx doesn’t appear to be your regular ballroom beat producer. The Nintendo-monikered Chicagoan uses the obligatory chopped Masters At Work vocals, synth lines, and drum hits, but works them into something heavier and dubbier than the usual upbeat ‘Ha Dance’ cut-ups. With elements of dubstep and footwork at play it’s an outsider’s take for sure, but Starfoxxx never takes things too far away the ballroom sound’s core.
