Black Dice’s Mr Impossible is a superb excursion into pastures weird.

The Brooklyn band’s combination of knotty guitars and day-glo loops make for a freewheeling (and funny) listening experience. Whacko track ‘Rodriguez’ sums up the mood – imagine Oneohtrix Point Never’s ‘Sleep Dealer’ played through the revolving speakers of an ice cream van.

The new ‘Rodgriguez’ video is similarly rough’n’ready. Archive footage of surfers, smokers and happy families is smothered with bizarro visual effects. Look forward to a cataract of naked torsos zooming towards your face (it’s still more work-friendly than that A$AP Rocky video)
